Correction policy
Corrections strengthen the archive.
This project is built to be corrected. Claims, source roles, translations, timestamps, legal analysis, and confidence levels can be updated when better evidence appears.
Correction workflow
When an error is found, the relevant item should be marked for review, corrected in the dossier, and linked to a correction note or source where appropriate. Rejected or superseded material can be hidden from public pages without deleting the internal audit trail.
Right of reply
If a person, outlet, NGO, institution, or legal body disputes a file, the response should be preserved as evidence and linked to the claim file. The archive should show the record, not pretend disputes do not exist.
Release safety
Public corrections should preserve the audit trail: what changed, why it changed, which source triggered the correction, and whether the assessment, confidence level, or source role changed.
