Carson announced a proposed UNRWA funding amendment in June 2026
This records what the congressional office announced on 24 June 2026: Carson offered an amendment to the FY2027 NSRP funding bill seeking removal of UNRWA funding limits. The release says the Rules Committee would consider the amendments that day. It does not establish adoption, enactment, appropriated funds, disbursement, or measured humanitarian outcomes. The stated benefit is the sponsor’s rationale, not an independent effectiveness finding. No conclusion is made about UNRWA neutrality or underlying conflict allegations. The release’s unrelated accusations about USAID cuts are outside this claim.
