Amanpour recalls the May 2024 warrant-application announcement

Editorial paraphrase of Christiane Amanpour's retrospective narration in CNN's written rush transcript dated 16 July 2026; CNN warns that this transcript may be revised. CNN's original interview transcript dated 20 May 2024 records Khan announcing applications concerning Israeli and Hamas leaders and explicitly distinguishing applications from warrants that judges would decide whether to issue (https://transcripts.cnn.com/show/ampr/date/2024-05-20/segment/01). That programme also includes Netanyahu's rejection and Michael Oren's opposing assessment. This record verifies the published narration and interview record only. It does not establish the alleged crimes, culpability, the merits of the applications or today's procedural status. The ICC website was inaccessible during this review, so no independent docket verification is claimed. The July programme's separate personal-misconduct dispute, including denials and a counsel interview, is outside this entry's findings. CNN is the publisher; Amanpour is the narrator.
